Complete and submit a WAnet Application online.
Follow the instructions once finished with your application and pay the $350 USD application fee online.
Follow the instructions at the end of the application and email WAnet the following documents:
- A picture of yourself
- Academic transcripts from the last 2 years of school
- Any scores from standardized tests you have taken (such as the TOEFL, Jr. or iTEP SLATE)
- Scanned copy of passport
Locate the nearest iTEP SLATE testing center to where you live and schedule an appointment to come in and take the iTEP SLATE Plus test. This test takes approximately 90 minutes. Make sure to select the option to have your test score sent to WAnet. WAnet is an official partner with iTEP.
After we have received all your documents and paperwork, we will contact you to setup a one hour video interview with the WAnet President. No preparation is required for the interview. Just relax, be confident, and be yourself!
After notice of acceptance, work closely with WAnet to mutually evaluate and select an appropriate WAnet school.
After being accepted into a WAnet school, complete and return the enrollment contract and pay the Summer English Institute (SEI) fee and $1,000 tuition deposit. International wiring information will be give to you on your enrollment contract.
- Official invitation letter from your WAnet School
- I-20 from your WAnet school (the legal document which will enable you to obtain a visa to study in America). The I-20 will be physically sent to you via DHL or Fedex.
Schedule a visa appointment with your local United States Consulate and obtain your F-1 student visa. Submit a copy of your visa to WAnet once you have obtained your visa.

Your all-inclusive payment for the upcoming school year is due within 10 days of returning your signed enrollment contract. This payment secures your spot within your designated WAnet school.
Purchase your airplane tickets to arrive in Los Angeles International Airport on July 13 or 14, 2018 between 6 AM and 8 PM for the start of the Summer English Institute (SEI). Travel information must be submitted no later than May 31, 2018. A fine of $250 will be assessed for travel information submitted after May 31, 2018. WAnet staff will be at the airport to pick you up.
Fly into Los Angeles, California to begin Summer English Institute on July 13 or 14, 2018. The first two days of SEI are social and orientation time designed to be flexible to meet the travel needs of students. Students arriving before the 14th or after the 14th will be charged an extra $250 per day fee to cover extra transportation and supervision costs.
On August 6, you will have completed three weeks of English classes and one exciting travel week and will be ready to fly out of San Francisco to your WAnet school and new host family. WAnet will purchase the flight to your host school on your behalf. If you are continuing on for the East Coast Travel Week, you will fly out of New York – JFK Airport on August 10.
